ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Laura, founder of Flora Natural Health.
I’m a medical herbalist based in Branston, near Lincoln, with a passion for supporting people on their journey towards better health and balance.
My approach is calm, intuitive and compassionate.
During consultations, time is taken to listen carefully and explore the root causes of your health concerns; helping you to feel listened to and supported. Consultations can be done in person or online.
I work with a wide range of health concerns, including stress, skin issues, digestion and hormonal imbalance; I’m open to working with all areas of health.
I have a particular interest in the relationship between emotional wellbeing and physical health, and I especially enjoy working with people who feel ready for a shift — those ready to engage with their health and who want to make changes.
I qualified with a first-class honours degree in herbal medicine in 2017. After graduating, I gained experience working in a natural health clinic in North Lincolnshire alongside functional doctors, nutritionists and other holistic practitioners. In 2022, I set up my own practice, Flora Natural Health.
My journey into natural health began in my twenties, when I was drawn to research my own health concerns. I was amazed by the difference that changes to my diet, herbal support and reducing stress made to my overall health and wellbeing. As I later started a family, I became increasingly interested in natural approaches during pregnancy and in supporting my children with everyday ailments. When I discovered the herbal medicine clinic at Lincoln University, I knew I had found my vocation.
Alongside one-to-one consultations, I run herb walks, workshops and talks, and I have also been part-time lecturer on the Clinical Herbalism degree at Lincoln College.
If you’re curious to explore whether herbal medicine might be right for you, please feel free to get in touch. I am always happy to discuss your case before you book in so that you can ask any initial questions, either via email or phone.

WHY CHOOSE HERBAL MEDICINE?
Herbal Medicine is a natural form of healthcare and is suitable for all ages. Herbalists treat the whole person, exploring areas of your lifestyle such as diet, exercise and emotional well-being. Everyone is different, therefore every prescription is tailored individually.
Whether you’re looking for support with a specific condition or simply want to improve your overall wellbeing, herbal medicine offers a natural and empowering path back to health.
During your first herbal medicine consultation, I provide a safe and welcoming space where you can share your health concerns openly. Examinations such as blood pressure, pulse, and clinical observations will be carried out also.
Your initial consultation allows me to get to the root of your concerns, whether you’re seeking support for digestion, sleep, stress, skin health, immunity, hormonal balance, or anything else. After the consultation, I then create a personalised herbal treatment plan which will be sent to you via email. Your herbal prescription may include tinctures, teas, capsules, or creams, tailored to your individual needs.
Follow-up consultations give us the opportunity to review your progress, adapt your prescription, and continue supporting you as your health evolves.
Care is taken to ensure any current medication is not affected by the herbal prescription.
Herbal medicine can gently support many aspects of health, whether you’re dealing with long-standing issues or simply want to feel more balanced and energised. Each treatment plan is unique, designed for your individual needs.
People often come to see me for support with:
-
Digestion - bloating, indigestion, reflux, constipation, or general gut health
-
Sleep & energy - insomnia, broken sleep, fatigue, or low vitality
-
Stress & mood - anxiety, overwhelm, depression, or emotional balance
-
Women’s Health - menstrual cycle issues, menopause, PMS, PCOS, hormonal changes, or fertility support
-
Skin health - eczema, acne, psoriasis
-
Immunity - frequent colds, post-viral fatigue, or general immune resilience
-
Respiratory health - coughs, allergies, hay fever, or asthma support
-
Joint & muscle health - aches, arthritis, or recovery from injury
Herbal medicine works best when it looks at the whole person, not just the symptoms. By addressing the root cause as well as the surface issue, it can help restore balance and support long-term wellbeing.
